Make Your Own Chewbacca!

Kaycee and I recently built a Chewbacca from scratch, with a lot of help from THE INTERNET! We were thoroughly warned by different resources that we should probably do this with a few months to spare, but we threw caution to the wind and finished the costume in about 2 weeks. Was it hard? YOU BET! With two people working on this costume, it took over 200 hours to complete and it was very expensive. Was it fun? OH HELL YES. Worth every second.

We had never done anything like this before, except this gopher costume:

We didn’t know anything about constructing a creature costume, but have learned lots along the way.

Over the next few weeks, we will be posting a detailed step by step guide to make your own Chewie fella.

These two resources were HUGE HELPS and THANK YOU:

UNIQUE LA

Our Craft Night group had a booth together to sell some of the things wemakeallthetime 🙂 Natalia looks so cute with her felt fruits!!! (Adventure Cub) Kaycee still has hamburger bags for sale! (Hooray 4 Polyester!)  Puff and Flock felt our booth was one of the best ones at the show. It really was. All our friends are so talented. Kelly Lee Barrett and Andrea Forist are worth a google search 🙂 MEMORIES!
